Sparrow provides people with medical help they otherwise have no access to through its Medical Fund. During the last couple of years Sparrow has build good relationships with several doctors and hospitals. A growing number of doctors do not charge personal costs to Sparrow or work for Sparrow for very reduced rates. This results in substantial lower medical costs per patient and gives us the possibility to help more people through the Medical Fund.
To thank these doctors we gave them a homemade Dutch apple pie as a Christmas present. A lot of doctors were really surprised and enjoyed this way of showing our gratitude. So this action was very successful.
(The apple pies were not paid from the Medical Fund, but were personally paid by Sparrow’s employees.)
