At this moment Juliet (45 years old) is waiting for a surgery. She is a mother of 13 children. After four miscarriages she did not get any medical care and a lot of blood remained in the womb. This caused a benign tumor in her womb. Lately this tumor is growing rapidly. An internal examination learned there is also a hemorrhage which will be fatal if untreated. To prevent this from happening the tumor has to be removed by surgery.

Update 16-11-2009 Examination before the surgery learned that Juliet's health is too weak for this major surgery, so it is postponed to the second week of December. In the meantime she uses medication. The costs for the surgery are estimated to be higher now. The total amount of 550 euro's has been donated already. Update 10-12-2009 Early this morning Juliet had her surgery. This seems to have been successful. Juliet will stay at the hospital for several days for observation. Update 15-12-2009 Juliet is getting stronger and is allowed to leave the hospital today. Update 19-12-2009 Because of an internal bleeding Juliet got back to the hospital in a hurry. A second surgery seemed inevitable. Late in the afternoon the bleeding stopped spontaneously. The doctor called this a miracle and a second surgery was not necessary. Update 20-12-2009 Juliet stays at the hospital for medical observation. That night she had severe abdominal pain. Update 21-12-2009 Juliet seems to have food poisoning because of food the family brought to the hospital. Update 23-12-2009 Juliet is allowed to leave the hospital, but at home she needs complete rest. Update 14-01-2010 Juliet has visited the doctor for a medical check-up. Everything is oke now, but she has to pace herself.
